Corrie ten Brown (15 April 1892 – 15 April 1983) was a Dutch Christian watchmaker, writer, and Holocaust survivor.
During World War II, Corrie and her family helped nearly 800 Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust. Inspired by faith, the ten Booms have always helped those in need, so when the Germans invaded Netherlands, they have built a hidden room in Corrie’s bedroom. The hideout was very small (about two feet deep by eight feet long), but it could hold six or seven people.
After four years, they were discovered. Several members of the Booms, including Corrie, were arrested and sent to concentration camps. She was released nine months later due to a clerical error — a miracle, as Corrie later called it.
After regaining her freedom, Corrie ten Boom reached and inspired millions of people with the message of the gospel. Her most famous book, The Hiding Place (1971), is a powerful autobiography that shares hope and teachings that continue to resonate.
The ten Boom home in Haarlem, Netherlands (also known as The Hiding Place), is now a museum.

Lord Jesus, I prayed, forgive me and help me to forgive him… Jesus, I cannot forgive him. Give me your forgiveness… And so I discovered that it is not on our forgiveness any more than on our goodness that the world’s healing hinges, but on his. Inspirational Corrie ten Boom quotes
Do you know what hurts so very much? It’s love. Love is the strongest force in the world, and when it is blocked that means pain. There are two things we can do when this happens. Happiness isn’t something that depends on our surroundings… it’s something we make inside ourselves.
