How Depression Helped Michael Phelps Find His Purpose

Michael Phelps - Dream & Live Video

Transcript:

It's turned me into believing that there is a power greater than myself and there is a purpose for me on this planet. When I hang my suit up for the final time, put all the medals and the records aside, as long as I can say I did everything I wanted... this is a sport that I fell in love with because my mom put me in for water safety and it turned into this. I know what my career will always mean to me, something that I dreamed of and I've lived. At the end of the day, that's all that matters."
