Bullied Student Finds a Crowd Gathered at the School Gym - The Reason Why Goes Viral

Bullying is an extremely stressful situation for anyone; as a child, it negatively effects their social, physical, emotional, and mental health. It is found to be linked to depression, anxiety, and low self esteem. When a South Carolina student, Tae Moore saw that his classmate, Taylor Bates was being bullied for the way he looked and dressed, he decided to treat him with kindness. He went out of his way to buy Bates a new pair of Jordans. This incident was captured in a video by Tae’s friends and was posted online, after which it immediately went viral. An Act of KindnessWhen Tae saw his classmate being bullied, he reached out to him and asked for his shoe size and told him to meet him the next day at the school gym. Confused and nervous, Bates went to him and saw that a small crowd had gathered.Upon seeing him arrive, Tae walked towards Bates and showed him the new Retro 1 Jordans that he had bought for him. Bates was shocked when Tae reached down to tie the laces of his new shoes. Tae assured him and told Taylor to let him know whenever someone bullied him. They shared a hug and Tae was left speechless and teary.A Viral PostLater that day, Tae posted on his social media about the incident to set an example for his peers. This kid go to our school named Eazy-E. He likes to rap and etc., he said he wants to be a rapper, just trying to chase his dream but kids at school like to bully him and pick on him and talk about the way he dresses and looks, so I went and bought him some Jordan’s.Tae MooreTaylor responded to the post and thanked him for his kindness.“He said, ‘I heard people have been bullying you, so I wanted to get you these to make you feel better, and when he said that I hugged him and I almost cried, and I cannot thank him enough,'” Taylor commented.Treat People With CompassionUsually, people who are bullied feel ashamed to speak up about it to their parents or school authorities as they often feel like a burden to others. The scars of bullying remains even when the bully isn’t physically present. In such times, support and kindness shown from fellow classmates can help them speak up for themselves. Tae’s compassion not only warmed Taylor's heart, but also made him feel like he has someone to rely on while fighting his battles.More from Goalcast:Girl Is Bullied for Her “Cursed” Skin – Today, After Proving Everyone Wrong, She’s Become a Famous ModelBullied Boy Loses Hope After a Priceless Gift From His Grandmother Is Stolen – But His Best Friends Feel OtherwiseGirl Who ‘Can’t Smile’ Is Constantly Bullied by Classmates – Years Later, Proves Everyone Wrong and Becomes a Supermodel

She Represented the Good in Humanity During Its Bleakest Hour - WWII Veteran Reunites With His First Love After 78 Years Apart

The thought of World War II brings back memories of death, loss, courage and sacrifice. It was also a time when a small piece of humanity and kindness was treasured for a lifetime. One such act of kindness took place over a jam sandwich, and is what made the brief encounter with Huguette so special for Reg Pye.He Kept Her Photo Safe in His Wallet for 78 Years picture of Huguette that Reg kept in his wallet for 78 years - with her name and address on the backThe British soldier, Reg Pye, served with the 224 Field Company, Royal Engineers as a driver carrying sappers, mines and ammunitions during the Battle of Normandy. In June 1944, while assisting the Allied invasion of mainland Europe against the German enemy at an unknown village in the area known during the war as the Falasie Gap, he spotted an unknown French teenage girl."There was also a slice of bread. He put margarine on with a paintbrush and we also had a dollop of red jam. We walked back to where I had parked my van and I shared the pilchards (a small sardine) between me and this other chap. Then I looked up and there was a girl standing in front of me. I didn't see her coming.”RELATED: Stranger Walks By Homeless Poet – Her Kindness Leads to an Unexpected ReunionPye recalls her wearing a “shabby white dress” and staring at him. He offered her the pilchards he had but she denied and continued to stare. Confused, he wondered what she was staring at and looked down to his bread. He offered her the bread but does not remember if she took it. What he does recall vividly is how she ran across the village square and into the church. He never saw her again. The next morning, he found that she half filled his mess tin with milk and left a picture of herself outside a French presbytery with her name and a message written on the back. And that was the photograph he kept safe for all these years in the hope of finding her one day."In the bleakest of times this bit of humanity interaction made a huge mark on my life," Reg said.Reg was 21 years old and Huguette was 14 when they met each other.A Social Media Campaign Brought Them TogetherReg offered a jam sandwich to Huguette just like the last time they met. When Reg’s wife of 72 years died, he tried to find Huguette with his son’s help but failed. Twenty years later from then, after hearing the story, a volunteer Paul Cook, from the Taxi Charity for Military veterans, an organization run by black taxi drivers which arranges free trips for veterans to Belgium, Netherlands and France, started a social media campaign that successfully reunited the pair.Reg, 99, showed Huguette, 92, a mother of three, the picture he kept safe for 78 years and shared a jam sandwich with her. He also offered a can of pilchards which she denied just like all those years ago, now with a smile on her face.RELATED: Childhood Sweethearts Separated at Age 8 Find Love Again at Their School Reunion"She was very prim and proper. We had a good welcome, the best 4 to 5 hours of our lives."Huguette was “extremely touched” to know that Reg had tried to find her. Extended family and friends helped translate their conversation as they sat and drank Champaign together. At the end, they hugged and kissed each other on the cheek. Huguette laughed and said they would have to get married now. Red accepted her proposal as she “vowed” to break up with her current boyfriend in the care home to be his wife. When Fate Designs the Perfect Happily Ever After We meet so many people in our life. Some stay and continue to make our life special. But some are like characters in a book, who come in momentarily and leaves a strong impression. They make us want to meet them again and complete that story left unfinished.Sometimes fate helps to complete those stories and for Reg, it helped to give a beautiful happy ending.KEEP READING:Relentless Dad Finally Reunites With Kidnapped Son After 24 Years Of Searching

Waiter Seen Feeding a Man With No Hands — His Kindness Has Touched the Whole World

Alex Ruiz, 22, is a server at Cinco de Mayo Mexican Grill, in Georgia. When a disabled man walked in to place an order and asked for help with his meal, Ruiz obliged without any hesitation.Ruiz sat across the booth from the man and fed him the whole meal of shrimp tacos. He also made small talk with the man asking him about his family, his life and if he needed a ride home.“I Did What I Thought Was Right"Reginald Widener, a Douglasville resident and regular customer of the restaurant, saw the entire scenario play out and was touched by Ruiz’s kindness. He took a picture of Ruiz feeding the man and posted it on the internet."So I'm at cinco de mayo and Alex (server) had a man come in with no hands. So Alex is now helping the man eat his lunch. This seriously hit me right in the soul. Still good ppl in the world.” He said in the post. From the picture, the way Ruiz conversed with the man felt like as if he knew him for a long time when in fact it was their first time meeting each other. There was no awkwardness or uneasiness between them during the entire time. It was comforting to watch them together.RELATED: Electrician Fixes Struggling Couple’s Wiring in the Dead of Winter for Free—So They Make It Their Mission to Pay Back His Kindness“I saw a man who needed help,” Ruiz said. “I did what I thought was right.”Widener who had interacted with Ruiz on a daily basis was not entirely surprised by his actions. Ruiz always smiled and gave out positivity to everyone around him. It made him happy when he helped others in need.“He Deserves Every Good Thing in His Life, Bless This Man”The restaurant was impressed by Ruiz and praised him. I tip my hat to you, sir," another commented."I hope his other tables tipped this man very well too. He deserves every good thing in his life, bless this man. We need more people like him in this world," wrote another.Winning Hearts by Spreading Kindness and PositivityvRuiz was surprised to see such reaction. He did not expect anything like it."I didn't mean for it to cause a lot of attention... I just wanted to help," he told.It has been six months since Ruiz have moved to Georgia from Chicago. He has a son and he wishes to teach him what it means to be “loving”.It is very hard to see kindness in a world that has shown itself to reflect mostly bitterness. Because of this, we tend to be more cautious and pessimistic in nature. People like Ruiz are those beautiful gems that help build our faith in kindness. They must be cherished and nurtured so that one day, kindness and compassion will no longer be a rarity.KEEP READING:Homeless Community Donates $8 After a Police Officer Is Killed in the Line of Duty – Sparks Ripple Effect of Kindness

5-Year-Old Terminally Ill Boy Gets His Final Wish Fulfilled — He Then Dies in Santa’s Arms

Eric Schmitt-Matzen, a mechanical engineer and co-owner of Packaging Seals & Engineering, also plays Santa at 80 different gigs every year. One day he had just gotten home from work when he received an urgent call from a hospital in Tennessee. It was a call from a nurse working at the hospital saying that a boy who was minutes from death wanted to see Santa. He told the nurse that he would change into his suit and come right away but the nurse rushed him to come immediately because the boy did not have much time. So he left home grabbing just his suspenders. When he arrived at the hospital, he met the mother of the child who gave him a gift to give to her son. It was something that the boy always wanted, a Paw Petrol toy. He took the gift and asked the boy’s family to leave the room if they were going to be emotional so that he wouldn’t burst into tears in front of the little boy.‘You’re My Number One Elf!'(BBC News)While the boy’s family waited outside the Intensive Care Unit, Schmitt-Matzen sat in front of the little boy and asked, “What’s this I hear you’re going to be missing Christmas this year?”The boy looked up and was surprised to see Santa sitting in front of him. Schmitt-Matzen gave the little boy his gift. He remember how fragile the boy looked while unwrapping his gift. The little boy flashed a huge smile seeing his gift and laid back down.'They say I'm gonna die,' he told Schmitt-Matzen. 'How can I tell when I get to where I'm going?' The little boy was surprised at the answer but after being reassured by his Santa, he sat up to give him a big hug and died in his arms. 'He was in my arms when I felt him pass’. The Heartbreaking Incident Made Him Almost Want to QuitSchmitt-Matzen kept hugging and holding the lifeless boy in his arms. The family who were watching the scene outside realized the situation and entered. He handed to boy to the mourning mother and left as soon as he could. “I spent four years in the Army with the 75th Rangers, and I’ve seen my share of (stuff). But I ran by the nurses’ station bawling my head off.”The entire experience had affected Schmitt-Matzen so much that he even considered quitting on being Santa Claus. He dragged himself to another show the next day and realized just what inspired him to be Santa in the first place. It was the joy and laughter of children that helped him bounce back.
