30 Anxiety Quotes to Help You Cope With Your Worries

These 21 anxiety quotes will help you calm your spirit and regain control. Seeking help and talking about anxiety is the first step towards recovery.

Have you ever felt like something wrong is about to happen, even though everything seems fine and you have no reasons to worry? A pressure on your chest that makes it difficult to breathe and you can’t get rid of it? That's anxiety. And, according to epidemiological surveys, one-third of the population is affected by it during their lifetime. These anxiety quotes may be a first step in addressing it.

RELATED: How to Overcome Anxiety

The American Psychological Association defines anxiety as “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes like increased blood pressure." The organization also describes anxiety disorder as a term that encompasses panic disorder and assorted phobias. Of course, feeling some anxiety surrounding certain life events is absolutely normal. However, if your worries won’t go away, and they keep you from enjoying your life, it might be a cause for concern.

People who haven’t experienced anxiety can’t understand how being against your own mind feels like. Sometimes, by trying to help, they can drag you down even more by cautioning against panic attacks. Only you have the power to overcome your anxiety, and to seek professional treatment for the sake of your mental health.

Feeling anxious now? Take a deep breath, listen to your thoughts, and try to figure them out. Then, take things one day at a time.

Noisy Neighbors Send Cute Note In Reply to Woman's Complaint

When it comes to neighbors you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes you hit the neighbor lottery and get someone who barely makes a sound.

Other times, however, you get stuck with THAT neighbor: the one who blasts death metal at 3 AM or has a dog that WON'T.STOP.BARKING. Or, in this case, has kids who think practicing piano before the sun rises is a good idea (it's not).

When London-based content creator Martina Panchetti's neighbors decided that the road to becoming famous concert pianists involved early morning practices she'd had just about all she could take. Wanting to avoid an uncomfortable confrontation, she wrote them a polite note to complain.
