Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Filming a Terminator Reboot Just 4 Months After Heart Surgery and His Resilience Is Unbelievable

Arnold Schwarzenegger's hair may be thinning and his beard is turning grey – but the former world champion bodybuilder and ex-governor remains incredibly resilient at age 71.

Schwarzenegger confirmed that he's in the middle of filming a new Terminator sequel. This comes just four months after Schwarzenegger underwent open heart surgery.

He said he'd be back

In late March, Schwarzenegger had an aging pulmonic valve replaced. The initial valve was first put in his body in 1997 to fix a heart defect, but it was only meant to last 10-15 years, CNN reports. So while this surgery was expected it doesn't make it any less challenging for a septuagenarian to recover from.

Schwarzenegger posted this inspiring tweet just a few days following the surgery.

Back in world champ shape

On July 31, a day after his birthday, the Terminator posted a video showing he's not just back walking and filming since his surgery, he's still committed to being in tip-top shape. This post shows Schwarzenneger and his bulging biceps working out at the gym.

Terminator revival

The new Terminator movie is filming in Mexico and will ignore all but the first two David Cameron-director movies, according to CBR.

Scheduled to be released on November 22, 2019, the film will be directed by Tim Miller and also star Linda Hamilton (the original Sarah Connor) as well as Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta.
