Adele's Story

Adele has inspired millions of people around the world with her beautiful voice and poetic songs about her heartbreak over a lover.

1 -  Adele’s father left when she was 2.

2 - Her mother was only 18 when she was born and had to raise her on her own.

4- They lived in government-subsidized housing and moved around a lot. Adele attended over 10 different schools.

5- She never dreamt to be famous. 

6- After graduating from school she wanted to help other artists achieve their dreams instead of her own. 

7 - One day a friend of hers uploaded a 3 tracks demo on Myspace.

8- The demo was found two years later by her a recording label, XL Recordings. 

9- Under than label She then recorded her first record, 19 which sold more than 10 million copies. 

9 - During that time Adele had a romantic relationship with a man who was 10 years older than her. 

10 - Their relationship was intense and he had a major impact on her life “He made me an adult”. 

11- 18 months later he ended the relationship and broke her heart. 

12- She found out shortly after that he had gotten engaged.

13-  She used her pain to write her greatest hit, "Someone Like You"

14- In 2011 Adele had to stop singing and undergo vocal chords surgery.

15- She came back from the surgery stronger than ever, giving her first performance at the 54th Grammy Awards. She won 6 awards that night.

14- Adele has stage freight, gets anxiety attacks and even vomits when she has to face her fears.

15- Despite constant pressure from the media to lose weight, Adele refuses to conform to any stereotypical look. “I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.” 

15- At the young age of 29, she’s already won over a dozen Grammys, sold over 100 million records, and been twice named one of Time’s most influential people in the world.
