Hundreds of Jeep Enthusiasts Make 9-Year-Old's Wish a Reality by Escorting Her Father's Funeral Procession

More than 100 Jeeps rallied together to mourn the loss of a community member, fulfilling a 9-year-old girl's wish.

On a Thursday afternoon in Hulbert, Oklahama, over 112 Jeeps gathered for a motorcade fit for presidency.

When Chad Disler, a local man unexpectedly passed away from COVID-19, his daughter shared her wish for an escort of "a million Jeeps."

Disler was a Jeep owner himself and was even part of a local Jeep group for fellow enthusiasts. His daughter's wish caught the attention of many, and the Jeep group Disler belonged to banded together to honor the young girl's request.

The group helped organize a procession that stretched over seven miles and a Hulbert car dealership even joined in the tribute, and the result was beautiful.

At just 9 years old, Disler's daughter associated the car with her father and shared in his love for the car maker.

The two shared countless memories in the family Jeep, and her wish for a million Jeeps was a way to honor her father in way she likely didn't have words for. The imagery is powerful, and evident in the community's reaction.

Though the passing of her father is tragic, the reaction of the community was beautiful and hopefully brought some closure to the family.

When processing death, the support of a community is truly a lifeline. We are all capable of offering support to others in trying times, and should never underestimate the impact a small gesture can make.

While individual support is always important, when amplified in a collective the result can be surprisingly powerful.

Though simply driving a car can seem like a small act, with over a hundred Jeeps gathered for Disler, the resulting wave of support appeared enormous. We are always more effective when joined together in community, and the funeral procession was a beautiful display of the collective.

In a world that can often feel divided, it's moments like these that remind us of the importance of community and compassion. While we may not always agree on everything, we can all come together to support one another in times of need.

In the case of the Disler family, the Jeep motorcade was a beautiful tribute to a beloved member of the community. Still, it also served as a reminder of the power of unity and compassion.
