The country music star went above and beyond when two young fans showed up at his concert in Maine.

Concert tickets these days are more expensive than ever. The rising prices mean that some fans, no matter how much they love the musician on tour, will never be able to attend concerts due to financial constraints.

Two young country music fans found themselves in this situation, but decided that they just had to see their favorite artist Luke Combs. When they finally got to his show, they had an interaction with the country crooner they will never forget.

Two Boys From Maine Work Hard for the Price of Tickets

Bo Fenderson and Tanner Hale are huge fans of Luke Combs. When Combs’ tour was going to take him through their town, the boys begged their parents for tickets. Unfortunately, the ticket price was too high, so their parents struck a deal with the boys.

If they could work to make enough money to purchase half of their own tickets, their parents would take care of the other half. Undeterred, the 12-year-old boys got to work stacking wood and doing odd jobs. They were able to make enough money to hold up their end of the bargain – and they got their Luke Combs tickets!

Bo and Tanner Finally Make It to the Luke Combs Show

The boys were thrilled to be attending the concert of their dreams, and they prepared signs in order to get noticed by their idol. Their two unique signs said: “We made 100 bucks stacking 5 cords of wood, bought 2 Luke Combs tickets, man he sounds good” and “Our dads swore it was a waste of time, oh but they were wrong! Today’s my 12th birthday oh Lord when it rains it pours!

The signs were effective in getting the attention of the country star, who called out to the boys from the stage. He asked them how much they had paid for their tickets and went into his own wallet to pay them back! He only had $140 cash on him, and since the boys had paid $200 for their tickets, he promised to get them the rest after the show. Luke Combs didn’t stop there. He made sure the boys got autographed hats and a meet-and-greet with photos after the show.

“[Luke Combs] is a great role model to take the time and do that, and really acknowledge what they did,” said a family friend of the boys. “It wasn’t just Luke, it was the rest of the staff too that made it happen and made it a point to come find us and the boys and fulfill that promise that he made to them. I think for all of the sisters, the cousins, and the friends that they all learned a valuable lesson.”

Fame and Fortune Didn’t Change Luke Combs

Bo, Tanner, and Luke Combs all learned important lessons from this lovely experience. The boys learned the value of hard work. If they want something badly enough, they can work hard and make their dreams come true.

Luke learned how good it feels to give back to young kids who love him. If those boys liked Luke Combs music before, they are definitely fans for life now! Helping the youth is the greatest investment we can ever make.
