Floyd Mayweather - Push Yourself

Floyd Mayweather's formula to being an undefeated world champion has a lot to do with his work ethic and focus.

Transcript:

"When I was younger, I done things that I shouldn't have done when I was younger, I'm not perfect. No one is perfect. Every day we strive to be perfectionists, but no one is perfect. I make mistakes, I make mistakes. But we live and we learn. And that's a part of growing.

I always had a dream. And my dream was to be the best. At 4:30 in the morning, when my opponent is sleeping, I'm working. And when he's up working at 2:00 or 3:00, I'm working. No fighter in history has beaten more champions than I beat. But is it over? Absolutely not. Today, Ima push myself, I'm always going places mentally no other fighter can go. You know why? Because they're focused on other things that's not important. I keep my eyes on the prize. I never focus on things outside the ring. My focus is the guy that's in front of me. You get to where you're trying to get to by staying focused, staying on a parallel path. I train for every fighter the same way. I push myself."

Ever since the 20th century, the concept of biological race is considered a cultural invention that has no scientific basis. The progress over the past half-century has been impressive, but the nation still has a long way to go to reach true racial equality.

A community is so much more than people sharing a space. It's a living, breathing network of connections and shared experiences. While it's usually defined as “a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common,” true community runs much deeper than that.
