If you think you live a life of intense routine, you have nothing on Mark Wahlberg, who regiments everything he eats and does during a 24-hour cycle in a way that’s kind of intense, inspirational, and frightening all at the same time.


It’s all about work ethic and dedication, and  he took to his Instagram stories this week to share his in-depth (very in-depth!) routine.

It involves waking up at 2:30 am (yes, 2:30 am!), carving out some time for prayer, a 3:15 am breakfast… and then it keeps going. He works out from after breakfast until around 5 am so he has another post work out meal around 5:30 am, meaning he’s eaten twice before most of us have woken up!


He then takes a really long shower (we imagine it’s hard not to fall asleep in there), plays golf, and has a snack… all again before some of us are awake. As the day goes on he also manages to fit in a cryo chamber recovery, business meetings… and of course more eating and working out, naturally.

During a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Wahlberg spoke about the benefits of cryotherapy, telling her, “It is great for recovery, and it just takes all the inflammation out of your body [and] it helps you sleep.”

It’s a good thing cryotherapy helps him sleep! To make up for his packed day and early wake up, he goes to bed at 7:30 pm. He may wakes up in the middle of the night, but he does get a solid 7 hours of sleep each night — which is more than a lot of us can say for ourselves.
