Will Smith 'To Consider' Running for President, Alongside Dave Chapelle as VP

Will Smith, a man of very many talents, is maybe going to add politician to the mix. He’s considering running for president with Dave Chapelle as his running mate!

Well, maybe. He could have just been kidding.

While being interviewed along with comedian Dave Chappelle, Smith was asked whether he’d consider running for president.

"You'd vote for me if I ran?" he asked.

"I would," the reporter replied.

"Aight. I'm a consider it. I'm a take that under advisement," said Smith.

Chappelle offered his support to the potential candidate. He said: "And I'll be the vice president, that way nothing bad will happen to Will."

Fresh Prince of Washington, DC? We’re so into it.

Smith shared an Instagram video of the exchange and ended it with the message, 'Smith Chappelle 2020'. We’re waiting with our popcorn.

While all in good humor, this is actually not the first time politics has come up with Smith. When being interviewed by CBS in 2015, Smith said Donald Trump’s actions may “force” him into politics.

He said: "If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena.

"I mean, I gotta be the president... What else would I run for?

"The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened. So for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small."

Well, he wouldn’t be the first actor turned politician, and we already love Will Smith!
