The highly successful sitcom got Angus earned over $350,000 per episode, making him not only the highest paid child actor, but one of the richest teen celebrities in the world at the time. Pretty impressive for a kid, huh?

The former adorable, chubby-cheeked child became a household name for starring in Two and a Half Men as Jake Harper, a young boy whose parents got divorced and had to move with his dad in his uncle’s Malibu beach house.

Angus saw great success while playing Jake and even got a few awards for his performance in the show. But unfortunately, the fame took Half Men star Angus for a wild ride. Suddenly, Jones was all over the news putting himself and the show in a bad light. A few years later, the actor seemed to disappear. But where did he go?

For some reason, in the 2010s, Jones started getting very religious joining the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

In 2012, the Two and a Half men star did an interview with The Forerunner Chronicles in which he discussed his calling and how he was instantly hooked.

"The message that the pastor was preaching that day was tailor-made for me," Jones revealed. "I just loved it. It was so great. It was so clear."

While Angus found new faith, it had nothing to do with his slowly disappearing from Two and a Half Men -- at least not directly. The real problem was that Jones began to publicly and vehemently slam the show because of those new beliefs.

He urged fans to drop the show " please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I'm on Two and a Half Men, and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it".

In an interview with The Forerunner Chronicles, the actor went on to call his sitcom “filth” and said that “You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that."

We reached out to him he was eager and excited to do it. It was like old times -- except that he’s not eight years old anymore. But we had so much fun with him all week."

I got pretty doomsday with my thinking for a long time, but now I’m having fun and enjoying where I’m at. I no longer feel like every step I take is on a land mine.

Looking back, it seems like Angus regrets the days he spent slamming the sitcom that made him a celebrity and says "the door is definitely still open" for him to return to his acting career. However, he still wants to feel free to travel and move around if he feels like it.

"I now fully understand what people meant when they told me that Two and a Half Men was one of the best jobs ever if not the best job ever," Jones told Billboard. That was the opportunity of a lifetime and everyone’s always told me that, but I’m really actually understanding myself now. It showed me what it takes to put on a good show."
